Hi, I’m Valerie!
If you’re looking for glossy, Instagram-perfect food — this might not be your place. But if you want chili recipe that feels like a hug in a bowl — welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
How It Started
I never planned to be “the chili person.”
Honestly, I just got tired of everyone in my family having strong opinions about chili recipe— but no one ever writing anything down. My mom’s version was thick and sweet with a smoky kick. My cousin swore by beans and beer. Mine? It started as a way to get through winter nights on a tight budget, with enough leftovers to last most of the week.
Somewhere along the way, it turned into a ritual. I started fiddling with the ingredients — less sugar, more depth, a tiny splash of red wine if I had it. I wrote things down. Friends would stop by and say, “Is that your chili? Please say yes.” So I kept making it. And I started this blog.

MY PanoramaRecipes Blog
Panorama Recipes isn’t a big food blog. It’s just my kitchen, usually a little chaotic, a cat on the windowsill, and a pot on the stove. The chili recipe on here — it’s the one that’s gotten me through snow days, heartbreaks, potlucks, and all those weird “what’s for dinner?” nights when nothing sounds good except something warm and real.
